Post by Clavo D. Tejedor on May 29, 2018 2:54:27 GMT -5
Clavo D. Tejedor considers himself a pirate despite only committing acts of thievery within the industrious island of Spider Miles. Of all the islands within all the Blues to end up on after being kicked from his home of unknown location - Spider Miles of the North Blue is likely the most accepting of Clavo D. Tejedor's selfish and arrogant ways; after all, survival of the fittest seems to reign supreme according to Tejedor's experience being homeless here. Anyway, Tejedor wasn't living the life he once accepted as being the norm; worshipers doing his bidding at all hours of the day with a healthy sprinkle of supreme, arena-style combat. The residents of Tejedor's birthplace were a cakewalk in comparison to the hell of Spider Miles, humiliating the self-proclaimed supreme pirate wannabe.
At least I have found myself among this garbage...though this self I have found is not ideal for this environment. I either need to strengthen myself or leave before this hell kills me.
The realization of his true weakness despite possessing a Devil Fruit and a supreme fashion sense stirred many negative emotions within Clavo D. Tejedor. Anymore self-doubt might lead Tejedor to do something foolish, whatever that may be; to not know what comes next is both thrilling and depressing - to get stronger or die trying, to leave or never escape, to live or to die. The binary choices haunted Tejedor as he strolled through a dark alleyway, the only type of home the pirate wannabe could survive within and stay alive, much less stay sane. To clear his mind of ill emotions, Tejedor attempted to speak his mind aloud and rummage through his deafening ego;
"I just need to fight someone to tell me I am who I believe myself to be...someone supreme and without flaw! The truth is hurting too much for me to go on much longer...though better yet - to prove to myself I am supreme would be far more exhilarating...which can only happen if I complete a successful hunt."

[attr="class","ohlove"] is it a part of me? the monsters that you see. The stench of rusty metals and gunpowder filled the air. A small boat was approaching the island and aboard it, a man donned in black clothes was standing tall on the forecastle deck. “Damn, I end up in a weird one. This damn journey is hard without a navigator.” He muttered under his breath. On his hand was a black mask and he slowly placed the mask on his face. His mask was black in color and it resembled a leather gimp mask with an eye patch. It bore a lip-less mouth with large, gnashing teeth, much like a restrained asylum monster. The bolts sticking out of his neck invoked a Frankenstein-like theme. It was not really the fanciest attire but more on the strange part. He didn’t care everyone’s opinions on it because he found it rather stylish. The mask completely covered the nose from the reek air of Spider Miles, the smell of the leather was better. His right eye was concealed by the mask and it left his cyborg left eye in the open. His cyborg eye was black in color and had a red iris. Because of this, the term “Monster” wasn’t something rare to hear when Percival’s around.
He reached the port and tied the boat to a pole before making his way to the inner part of Spider Miles. It’s as if bad luck was attached to him, a couple of marines were trying to apprehend him but he shook them and ran away as fast as he could. “How in the world I can find someone to help me if the street is so hostile?” He stopped at a dark alley, panting from the sudden exercise. As he tried to catch his breath, he saw a tall man standing not far from. “Is he a giant?” Percival pondered as he tried to examine what would the man’s height be. It seemed he was talking to himself, Percival couldn’t hear what he was saying but he caught the word “fight”, “supreme”, and “hunt.
“Hey. Are you also hiding? These marines scum can be a pain in the ass, eh?”

It seems the marines on Spider Miles weren't exactly a friendly bunch, as Draco's intimidating appearance already made him a target for them, even if he didn't have an actual bounty or officially started his career as a pirate. He wasn't necessarily a bad pirate, or at least he believed he wasn't. He only liked to be a pirate in the sense of freedom and exploring the seas, and not so much on the part of stealing everyone's valuables. Despite that however, the word "Pirate" is seemingly despised by everyone he's met so far, well... except for the few who are actual pirates themselves.
Luckily, he used his power to make footsteps in the opposite direction of where Draco was hiding behind cover in order to make the marines pursue the complete other way, it worked and the man had saved himself from a bunch of persistent, pursuing marines. Draco came to Spider Miles after his questionable made raft had given in, he nearly drowned if it weren't for a nice fellow who actually got him out of the water, who actually did it just to see what Draco had on himself. Before Draco's weakened state had passed by from the water, the man already stole most of Draco's supplies and belongings. Which is what prompted him to go into Spider Miles and hunt down the man, but he severely underestimated how the island could be.
Currently, Draco is walking across the streets to see any opportunities to get back his belongings, or anything that might lead to the man, or just anything in general that will catch his eye. After the instant second of that thought came through, he looked at an alleyway which hosted two curious figures, one tall black-haired gentleman who was even taller then Draco, wow! and then there's the short guy with white-hair and the scary looking mask. They looked a bit questionable on second thought, but there isn't any better place to start. He walked up to both of them and already asked them about his problem. "You seen a brown-coated man running around with a fully packed bag? he stole it from me." he bluntly asked, he wasn't expecting much of an answer from how this bunch looked, but he had to start somewhere.

While speaking to himself in relatively mumbled tones, Tejedor was talked to by two strangers; they both looked unfriendly and ripe for some hunting, but facing two at the same time would be foolish. Tejedor despised teamwork during combat, no exceptions! However, Clavo D. Tejedor's craving for a successful hunt was starving the pirate wannabe's mind which could lead to any number of situations; Tejedor could turn around and attack like a starved animal or just turn around and snarl. For better or for worse, three of the words spoken by the two, seemingly unfriendly strangers stuck out; Tejedor turned around, hunched over like a broken peddler, and huffed those three words;
"Scum? Pain? Stole!?"
The scummy environment of Spider Miles was familiar to Tejedor after spending too many years attempting to survive. The pain of living here was taking a mental tole on Tejedor, weakening his resolve. Such garbage hardship would not be taking place if not for his former life being stolen from him by the very people who gave Tejedor the seat of supreme luxury! For one reason or another, Tejedor felt oddly soothed by the reminder of his hardship by outside sources; getting out of his hunching state and standing up straight, Tejedor let out all the air in his lung and then breathed in some fresh air filled with relatable emotions. Looking first towards the bulky individual, Tejedor spoke with a cheerful voice and a cheeky grin;
"I've had something precious taken from me, too. The pain I have felt has lasted for years and the scum of this place has not helped me to recover...of all the things I needed, companionship is the last I thought necessary."
A chance to speak to someone who didn't want something from the supreme Clavo D. Tejedor was refreshing. The relatable hardship the two strangers faced allowed Tejedor to feel acknowledged and willing to aid. I'll help them and they'll worship me...forever! I can see my life of luxury returning to me slowly, steadily. After helping these two fledglings, I'll gather more followers who revel in my presence and eventually recreate my former empire! Obviously Tejedor wasn't helping two strangers for no reason at all; they would be forcfully pulled into his charming magnetism and become the first vestiges of his supreme pirate crew, The Supreme Pirates! Wait, that name assumes I am not the only supreme pirate within my crew which is unable to be true. Assuming he would be followed, Clavo D. Tejedor gracefully turned around to face his original position and started walking with thundering determination in his steps.
"Our name will come later. For now, follow me to Spider Miles' safe-haven for the damned; there we will find men coated in brown and moderate protection from the marines."

The small boat rocked back and forth as it traversed the waves. Yuki stole in from the harbor of Mariejois once she parted ways with her benefactor. She was now trying to keep it afloat, and the waves weren't making it any easier. Finally, the inevitable happened, and her boat crashed into some rocks near the shore. She waded through the water until she reached the island. She was stranded here, at least for the time being, so she decided that she might as well make the most of it. She started to explore the island. It seemed kind of spooky and unhospitable.
Finally, she saw people up ahead. She decided to ask them more about this island. She was gonna stay here for a while, so she needed to learn what to expect here and how to prepare herself for it.
"Excuse me!" she called out to them "But could you tell me more about this place?"

[attr="class","ohlove"] is it a part of me? the monsters that you see. Percival stopped his panting as soon as he saw another figure entered the alley. “Is this a place where specific individuals meet?” Percival thought to himself, unable to shove away the tense feeling that he had infiltrated a private space. This new figure was quite tall even if he couldn’t be compared to the man with slicked-back hair. They were like a powerful duo of criminals that would crush their enemies in a matter of second. Percival’s eyes were scanning them from head to toe, they were definitely human but he wasn’t sure at the other guy. “Do tall humans such as them even exist?” He contemplated. One think that caught the attention of Percival was that they weren’t even startled or afraid of Percival’s appearance which amplified his hypothesis, they were no ordinary thugs!
Percival himself wasn’t a man who’s easily frightened but at least, he could feel threats or intimidation. Nevertheless, he held his ground like usual when he was facing an unconfirmed threat. The dark red-haired man was asking a question about a man. Percival himself didn’t have the chance to meet a lot of people because he kept on running to avoid troubles so he hadn’t seen one as the description. He also felt more relaxed as he learned that both of them didn’t know each other, proved by the way they talked at each other. “I’m so-“ Percival was about to speak before he was being interrupted by the tallest. Three words that made Percival dumbfounded came out from his mouth, it placed Percival into a deep thought. A dramatic sentence followed up and he thought that this man was being too sentimental. “What happen to you really?” He questioned the peer that was standing in front of him but he didn’t expect an answer, it was an abrupt remark. Though the black-haired man managed to place a small curve on Percival’s lips, finally he was able to find a safe haven where he could find potential navigator to help him escape this island. “I’m fine with that as long as I can stay away from troubles for a while. You coming?” He shifted his attention to the red-haired man, wondering if he would also follow the other man without a single hesitation. Percival’s movement, however, was stopped by a girl’s voice. She was asking about this island and Percival was not in the position to answer that as this was his first time on Spider Miles. “I don’t know how to answer that, but this man might be able to help. However, it’s best for you to come with us, this alley isn’t really a perfect place for that.” Percival smiled but he knew a girl like her wouldn’t believe in strangers especially someone who covered his face with a leather mask and insanely tall men. But, he could sense some confidence in her as she was able to inquire of them.

Draco was surprised to learn that this meeting between the three of them were mere coincidence when he learned that these two men didn't know each other. It looked like they were either escaping the troubles of Spider Miles or on it to seek something. Draco would prefer to back his supplies instead of having to spend his own mone- oh wait, that was stolen too. Yep, he has no choice honestly but to try and find the man who stole everything he had. Draco found the tall man's rumblings to be slightly weird, but the weirder they are, the more fun they are in Draco's eyes. He didn't know what to make of the shorter guy with the leather mask, but he seemed friendly enough despite how he looked.
But, the promise of a safe haven for the "damned" which he assumed were criminals were music to the red-haired individual's ears, and got instantly hooked on the idea to follow the guy so he can find the other guy that stole his belongings. He noticed a smaller girl approaching them however and asked about the island they were currently on. Draco didn't know much about the island himself, but from the thieving experience that happened on him, plus the marines that were chasing him relentlessly earlier gave him the idea this island was full of criminals.
The leather masked man already started to explain it to the girl, so Draco wouldn't say much on his end and started to follow the taller individual to this safe-haven, Draco found his speakings a bit weird but he caught onto most of them. So far, these guys were the closest thing to friendly on this island and liked to keep it that way. "The name's Draco, self-proclaimed singer and musician, and the eater of a marvellous Devil Fruit." at least he thought it was, it helped with his music after all! "I can control sound." that's the only statement he gave with not much else explanation behind it, whether or not the others would pick up on whether it was a very simple Devil Fruit or one that had power to it was up to them.

Hearing only light shuffling behind him, Tejedor turned his head over his right shoulder in order to understand the situation; I see now - a woman in distress has distracted my future subordinates. They have inadvertently shown their colors to me...to possess foolish subordinates who are so easily distracted by a feminine figure will be troublesome. Granted, possessing the female my two men are lusting after could prove useful in more ways than one? Regardless, they must follow me or be left behind. Tejedor didn't stop walking towards the groups intended destination as he calmly barked suggestions to the three potential crew mates;
"If you cannot keep up with me, then you deserve to be left behind! The woman may follow us, but do not let her feminine wiles distract you further!"
Being as arrogant and prideful in his charm as ever, the tall pirate wannabe picked up his pace assuming his words reached the ears of the three people behind him. Obviously Tejedor wasn't thinking straight - his back was turned to three strangers who've just been told what do by a fellow stranger. Clavo D. Tejedor's lust for self-worth has indeed driven the man insane. Hopefully Tejedor finds his wits when his pirate crew has formed under one flag, but for the time being the prideful pirate is assuming too much for his own good.
My charm is keeping them from harming me. There is no better explanation. Keheheh, the more I speak - the more supreme I feel!

Yuki backed off a little. It appeared that these people weren't exactly welcoming. She might as well follow them, see what they were up to Fastening the belt on her bag, she maintained the distance between them and herself as she began trekking in the same direction they were headed in. She hoped that they would tell her more about this island so she could know what she was getting it.
She needed to find some place where she'd belong, but that could wait. Right now, there were more pressing matters at hand, such as finding shelter, and following the people in front of her was her best bet to do it. They must have some sort of house or abandoned building they spent time in up until now, she reasoned, and whatever they had would serve her purpose until she found a real home.

[attr="class","ohlove"] is it a part of me? the monsters that you see. The mask could be turning off the mood of the situation. It seemed the young girl was silenced by the situation, no words came out from her mouth after she asked the question despite Percival’s friendly demeanour. Percival grasped back his foothold and began following the tallest man, “Lead the way! And I guess you an be a bit more gentle.”
The man didn’t show any compassion or care towards its surrounding but he was kind enough to lead them to a shelter. Or maybe it was simply a trap? He didn’t know what to trust at that moment, his intuition or his awareness. At least, he had the confidence in his ability to defend himself should things went south. The other man began to break the silence once again and he introduced himself. Percival thought that they were trying to save their names for later but ignoring someone was impolite, at least what he believed in. “Percival. Percival Morgan.” He gave the group his name. After Draco’s name, something like his profession and his ability followed. “Musician? It was rare to see one these days and I haven’t heard a beautiful song for a while. Mind to sing a song if you have a time later?” Percival mightn’t look like it but he was a man that appreciates little things and he valued music because without music, the world would be filled with emptiness because music expressed what couldn’t be said. It turned out he found another Devil Fruit eater in Spider Miles, coincidentally. This was his first time encountering one and the ability to control sound nonetheless.
The ability itself was mind-blowing, a fit to his profession. What came to his mind was that his ability could be implemented into his songs. “Deadly songs, huh?” Percival raised a question, trying to scoop more information about the ability. If he could kill them with his songs, Percival would be reluctant to hear him singing. “Me too. I ate one.” He stopped right there, he didn’t want to continue further. Parents warned their kids to not talk to strangers, let alone give him your identity. He thought if he made an enemy out of the red-haired man, it’s best for him to avoid telling him his ability. But, it was maybe because he couldn’t trust others so easily. The world’s just cruel. The group was able to walk in a same pace finally.

The red-haired man listened onto the taller man's ramblings once more, picking up on what he meant this time but found it odd that they're being accused of helping the girl that came along because she's just as lost as they are on the island, well... except for the black-haired gentleman since he's the one leading the party towards the safe-haven but still. "It's not her gender that's making us help her, were just as lost on this island like her, if anything. It's like you said earlier, the state of this island isn't exactly the best, why not save her from the exposure to it like you unfortunately experienced?" of course, he mostly meant that as a group they would be fine from the clutches of how horrible the island could be.
He slightly went back behind the black-haired gentleman and started to listen in on what the shorter guy is saying, telling his name and inquiring about Draco's ability to sing. A smile was brought up, showcasing the torn tear on his left mouth but since they didn't notice that before, he'd doubt he would be judged by the three for it anyway. "Sure thing Morgan, I know a few songs that are mostly known to everyone." Binks Sake was a favourite of Draco's to sing, but he'd ask about musical preference with them later on when it comes to it.
He thought about what Morgan said with the deadly songs part, he could make it like that but he didn't want to use what singing ability he had to be transformed into a weapon... then again, he does use his fruit to manipulate how he sings, so he isn't entirely wrong. "Close, but not quite. I can manipulate Sound, I can control the frequencies of sound to make sounds that aren't naturally made, increase or lower the volume of sounds or for combat, make sound-waves." he pretty much told them his ability, but something told him the bunch he's hanging with currently don't seem that bad.
He heard Morgan express that he also ate a Devil Fruit, curious to ask what it was but Morgan seemed hesitant after revealing it. "I like my Devil Fruit and all, but I miss swimming sometimes." of course, there were the occasional springs as long as you didn't sink your entire body into it as a Devil Fruit user, but you don't get the same satisfaction anymore as a Fruitless user would have.

The words coming out of his future subordinates mouths were odd - seemingly genuine kindness was new to Tejedor; only those who've worshiped him have ever shown Tejedor any sort of 'kindness' but religious kindness felt wholly different. Hm, no wonder they aren't attacking me from behind - they must be worshiping me but aren't quite used to my overwhelming supremacy. The woman is unable to speak anymore due to the supremacy I exert. Tejedor's twisted mind would need constant teaching in order to understand true kindness and therefore the capability to reciprocate the same feelings; to help someone out of kindness is very different than helping out of potential reward. In Tejedor's case, the potential reward for helping Morgan, Draco, and the woman was a crew to mimic some semblance of his former life. Regardless, the tall pirate felt a strange urge to 'comply' with Morgan's suggestion; "Indeed, my words hold great weight; to frivolously push those around me into the mud does no good."Tejedor's weighty speech stopped for a moment. Another urge started to kick in - the urge to tell his subordinates to stay quiet about their capabilities. The safe-haven was creeping in around the group but the word 'safe' is a loose term for Tejedor; this 'haven' was simply a place to call home among the garbage piled up as high as the smoky clouds. In fact, Tejedor would consider this place more dangerous if not for the needs of his followers. Marines didn't go to this safe-haven, people wearing brown-coats lived there, and whatever the woman was after likely existed there, too. Anyway, Tejedor's mind drifted too much to feel the urge to silence his followers; if they continued to speak of their capabilities freely then the consequences would cut them down without Tejedor needing to worry about the strength of his subordinates anymore.
Worries are a bother anyway. If whatever I felt was important, then I would remember...but now I must worry about my third urge - what is swimming?
If everyone kept up with Tejedor's walking pace, the four pirate wannabes would inevitably arrive at this so called 'safe-haven' Tejedor spoke of; the area looked to be underground based on what little light penetrated the ceiling, but the reality of the aesthetic was simply garbage - piles upon piles of waste leftover from the constant flow of industrial work. The waste wasn't soft or easy to mold, but the determined could literally carve a home to life within. Tejedor didn't life here, but came here to trade for necessities. After all, this safe-haven was practically the heart of Spider Miles! Anyway, Tejedor stopped walking and turned towards his future crew and spoke words of great importance.
"Now that we are here, let's form a pirate crew. As Captain of our yet-to-be-named crew, I order the search for supplies - starting with Draco's lost belongings. After all, this place is practically the center of Spider Miles - this brown-coated crook is likely to be or have been here."
Clavo D. Tejedor simply declared himself Captain assuming everyone else would fall into place. If the walk to the safe-haven went without issue, then why wouldn't Tejedor assume they wanted him as their Captain? Granted, Tejedor didn't know all the responsibilities of being a Captain, so a rude awakening might guide Tejedor off his self-made throne without creating immediate issues.

The two men in front of her appeared to be talking about Devil Fruits. Being a Devil fruit user herself, their conversation interested her, so she quickened her pace and drew closer to them. Granted, the Devil fruit she was given was one of two good things that came out of her past, the past she wished to forget, but she was curious and wanted to know more about how they worked. So she was content to simply walk and listen. She wished she could show them her power, but knew it would be impolite for her to do so before they asked her to do so. As the conversation started to peter out, Yuki started to gather the courage to speak to them. She could separate from them if she absolutely needed to, but she'd prefer not to have to leave them. Two of them were Devil fruit users, and there was a possibility that the third one was as well. They could teach her how to use hers, which would help her in the long run. If she could use it well, there was bound to be someone who would accept her and she'd finally have a place to call her own. "You both have Devil Fruits?" Yuki finally spoke "I have one too. Would you mind helping me learn how to use it? I haven't used it much since I got it......"
She cut her statement off there. She didn't want to tell them much about her past just yet. They might try to bring her back to that place, after all.
Then the man in the front spoke about forming a Pirate Crew. Yuki had heard about pirates in that place, as many of the slaves were former pirates themselves. They talked about how being a pirate meant freedom, something Yuki wished to have. Her eyes lit up at the thought. She wanted to be a pirate, so that she could have freedom. Still, she wouldn't ask to join. She'd wait for whoever would be in charge of it to ask her to join first.

[attr="class","ohlove"] is it a part of me? the monsters that you see. Things that happened to them weren’t half bad. The group was kind of peaceful and there were no conflicts that happened between them. At least for now, Percival managed to drop his guard but his eyes were constantly shifting around, paying attention to every details that he could see. Fortunately, the tallest man who didn’t want to exchange his name seemed able to tone down his aggressive personality. On the other hand, Draco was more open and he was somewhat talkative which Percival found amusing. Percival showed a little smile as Draco agreed upon his selfish request. As Draco continued with the description of his ability, Percival’s jaw dropped. It seemed he managed to explore his abilities and even used it properly. He found that Draco’s ability wasn’t as simple as he thought and he forced Percival to utter in awe, “Awesome! I hope I’m not your enemy or I’ll be done for!”
He gave a slight praise that might placed Percival’s pride a bit lower than Draco’s even if he hadn’t seen his ability in a real combat. Nevertheless, he knew Draco could exhibit something far more than he had described. Draco’s last statement caught Percival off guard. Percival placed his hands on his stomach as he laughed, “Swimming? Yes, I really miss those! Hahaha!” Who wouldn’t miss the cold sensation of the sea as waters streamed down your body and the beautiful corals in the reef.
He missed those moments but it was taken away in exchange for a devilish ability, something that suited the name of the fruit he ate, a “Devil” Fruit. The little girl finally decided to join the conversation and it placed Percival in a more comfortable position, he didn’t want to make the girl tense while she’s around the men. Percival smiled as he found yet another devil fruit user, the world actually was a small world despite its size. “Really? That’s make the 3 of us a Devil, ain’t that right? Hahaha.” He chuckled. “Anyway, you can call me Percival. What’s yours? I can give you some advice and tips on the Devil Fruit but I believed Draco here far more capable than me or this guy, who I feel hides great power underneath that seriousness.” He pointed at the tallest guy.
As the conversations went down, they finally arrived in an unpleasant place but something that could be expected of Spider Miles. Since the beginning, he didn’t have high hopes on the island. At least he can find decent people along the way. The place might reek of trash and rusty metals but the mask saved the day once again, his nose could only smell the classic smell of a leather. Something came suddenly, no wind, no rain and it came like a thunder. The black-haired man was saying along the line of forming a crew. Percival immediately was taken aback, a disbelief was written all over his face. “What? Why so sudden?!!” They just met, they didn't know each other but they wanted to form a crew? Was it was that simple? This man was turning the whole mood upside down. To be honest, Percival wanted to be in a crew since the day he left the East Blue and raised his Jolly Roger but he didn’t expect it to happen soon and in an unexpected place to begin with. “Why you appointed yourself as a Captain?!” A one-sided decision and a bold one was made by the tall guy. Percival’s thought was getting cloudy, they could have different goals and he was too afraid to sacrifice his. “What you want to do anyway with a crew?” He questioned the man’s objective.

Along the walk, Draco started to grow a liking to the smaller individual that was the white-haired man, and he hoped the same thing of not becoming Morgan's enemy. Draco knew how to defend himself when push came to shove, but he didn't like being forced to fight. He believed in talking your way out of situations more then actually fighting them. "I accidentally ate my fruit, I thought it was some exotic fruit on the island I was living on at the time." and Percy wasn't wrong about Draco knowing his Devil Fruit, Draco was sure though that there's more power potential with his Devil Fruit but he hasn't pursued it yet.
He slightly stepped behind so Yuki would hear what he had to say. "Honestly? just experiment with your fruit, test your limits and see what you can do with your strength currently, then once you find that out you can start applying it to other aspects normally, combat wise or not." that's the best way he could describe it. He didn't know what fruit she used, but that's the basis he sticked by with learning to use his own Devil Fruit. Her power might be entirely different compared to his, but it might be a good starting point for her.
The entire party were stopped in their tracks when the taller man stopped and turned around to face the party, already proclaiming that they'll be pirates and become apart of his crew. Draco agreed with what Percy said, and thought it was too rushed and too early for them to just form up like that. "I mean... I wouldn't mind being a pirate, but I don't know you well enough..." if it were Percy who ended up making the sudden crew, Draco would be more lenient since the masked man showed himself to be decent enough, but he doesn't know a single thing about the taller individual. "How about we take it slow? I'll look for my thief and still search for supplies, help each other. If we tick together well enough, how about we end up doing it? if not, then that's that." he is thankful though to the man leading them to the supposed safe-haven, but it might be too quick to make a crew just for that reason alone.
