"Admiration is the emotion furthest from understanding."
Full Name: Ban Emilia Govi
Alias/Nickname: Red Tyrant | God Queen Govi
Race: Kuja
Gender: Female
Age: Twenty-Eight
Faction: World Government Agent
Appearance: Overall, Ban can be described as an average looking woman. When looking at her main assets, eyes tend to be attracted towards her torso, with her waist being smaller than of an average woman of her height, technically being classified as an "hourglass" shape. Her chest tends to attract attention as well, along with her hair and face. While her hair and her chest are stared at for an obvious reason, her face is a different story. This is mainly due to the face that she tends to keep it in a permanent scowl, something that she doesn't do on purpose but ends up happening anyway. Her skin tone is a light tannish shade due to the fact that she's often on the seas.
Ban's outfits tend to be all over the place, but the one thing that they all have in common is that they are pretty loose or nearly non-existent. An example of this would be comparing her everyday wear, a black and silver bikini top along with black thigh-high greaves, to what she wears to a planned battle, a blue and purple kimono. Both have are easy to move in, with the kimono being a little on the revealing side, allowing her to move pretty freely without having to worry about ripping the outfit.
Hair Color: Scarlet
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 152 lbs
Personality: Ban is a very serious person, always putting her job first and everyone else later. Dedication is one of her strongest traits, something that most tend to pair with an undying stubbornness, though she wears it with pride. That's another thing as well: she has no pride, or at least she doesn't like to show it too often. Surprising to most, Ban is a humble woman who just does what she does and doesn't question it, something she had learned how to do back when she a kid. Most don't hang around her for a good time, hell, she barely has anyone who she can call a friend, but those who do find themselves following her are there because they fear or respect her.
That's how Ban keeps those under her in check: fear. While most tend to rule with kindness or by example, Ban has found that the most effective way to deal with a problem is to crush it before it becomes a problem. Ruthless is often a word that finds it's way in the same sentence as Ban, mainly used to describe her and her methods, and while she's aware that it is quite a barbaric way to deal with various issues, it gets results.
On the social side, Ban is often the buzz-kill to her friends' fun. She tends to not talk much but often enjoys group activities with those she likes to be around. Although she looks uninterested in seemingly everything she does, Ban does truly have fun when around others. Though, these happy moments are often overshadowed by their bad ones. Somehow, no matter who she's with, Ban always has to be the responsible person, often paying for other people's dumb ideas and having to patch up what they've done.
Likes: Despite her conflicting personality, there are many things in which Ban enjoys and would even go as for to say she likes. One thing that she absolutely adores is food, though meat specifically. This liking stemmed from when she was a child and was constantly training, and thus was constantly hungry. Another item on her list of likes is books and maps, as she's always eager to learn more about the world or is easily entertained by worlds unlike hers. She enjoys sports as well, and anything else that requires physical activity and entertains her competitive side.
Dislikes: First and foremost, Ban strongly dislikes heights. This dislike is more akin to a fear because it can get really bad for her, vomiting and nausea being common symptoms of being up too high. Ban also has an inkling of dislikes towards sweets, mainly chocolate due to its bitter taste. And, for some random reason, she does not like birds.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Evil
History: Ban Govi, her first name meaning "white", was born to a peasant and a warrior. Well, technically her mother wasn't a peasant, more so a foreigner who was seen by most as an idiot and a barbarian who originated from the island of Amazon Lily, home of the Kuja. Her mother, Ahn Govi, was known by most back home as the town dunce, breaking various important objects to the community, getting in their version of legal trouble, and was all around a clutz that trouble seemed to always find. Which is why when it came time for her to leave the island in search of a mate, her people were eager to send her off, hoping she would never return. Somehow she ended up in the West Blue, landing on Sundial Island and grew attached to the community there. Nobody really questioned who she was or where she came from so Ahn felt like the people there would get her, and they did. Especially one man, who only went by the name of Brutus. Brutus was one of the few giants on the island but was born as a hybrid between a giant and a human so he was more on the average side of height. Often he was bullied by townsfolk due to a birth defect that left his face deformed and grotesque, so bad that they forced him to wear an iron mask as to not give the children nightmares. Most people ran away from him, but not Ahn. Ahn was able to sympathize with him, and while her situation was nowhere near as worse, she knew what it felt like to be ridiculed. So, Ahn became Brutus's first friend, first lover, and his first wife.
A year into their marriage they had a child, though this wasn't Ban, this was her older sister, Bride. Ban would be born 4 years later. Their family didn't change much in those 4 years anyway, so there isn't much to say about that time. As an infant, Ban was a calm baby; she never really cried much and wasn't that needy, something that contrasted her older sister. She would end up keeping this trait until she was about 6 years old, where she started to become more adventurous and hard-working, often offering to help her mother with basic chores and when she couldn't she would go outside and run around with the town kids. Life was good back then, though it drastically changed when she turned 13.
The Marines had a small presence on the island so it wasn't rare to have one or two run-ins with them though Sundial Island was also a common place for marines to retire. In fact, there was word that there was one that lived right next to Ban's family, known only by his alias of Dragon. Dragon was more of an urban legend than a person though, with only a handful of people confirming his existence, with Ban being one of them since she knew his son, Salamander, who has her age. When she was 13, Dragon had come to visit Ban personally. He had heard many stories about her from his son and was interested to see what she was like, and immediately he saw something in her. A warrior, a soldier. And while prior to their meeting Ban had never considered joining the Marines, after he told her what he had thought she had a goal in mind. And so, Dragon took her in as a pupil, and for 10 years she was trained to become an expert at combat. She had gotten to the point where when she enlisted, they had recommended she become an Agent instead, as her combat prowess was something they could not pass up.
