"I AM NO ONE, BUT MYSELF"
Full Name: Sumire
Alias/Nickname: Grand Dessert| Sumi
Race: Kuja
Gender: Female
Age: Nineteen
Faction: Pirate
Appearance: Sumire's slender, yet feminine frame is neither the tallest nor the shortest; for people like her of ordinary height, she stands nearly to five feet, five inches. Gazing at her one might not expect the light topped female to be a capable fighter, due to her slim physique, which resembles that of your average girl with a weight of 110 lbs. While it is rather difficult to imagine that her body harbors steel abs or bulky muscles in general, it is nevertheless well-trained and highly agile. Her smooth, honey coloured hair, which trails like a mesmerizingly luminous river that runs down her back until it stops beyond her shoulders, is usually tied up into either a ponytail or a pair of pigtails, while her bangs freely bob in the breeze as they curtain over her forehead, leaving her brilliant, hazel shaded spheres to peek out from beneath the veil of flaxen hair.
Having been fortunate enough to be untroubled by wounds that would have burnt themselves into her flesh and left traces known as scars, Sumi's skin can be considered average, as it lacks tattoos, larger blemishes and flamboyant birthmarks. In terms of attire the blonde Kuja is influenced by the fashion worn on Amazon Lily, but generally wears whatever she considers comfortable. Her favourite outfit therefore consists of a teal coloured bikini top, whose cups are adorned with golden flower patterns that cover most of the fabric's surface. It is held in place by innocently white bands running up her chest, gently wrapping around her neck. A matching skirt wraps around her waist, covering the plain, sapphire thong as well as most of her well shaped legs as it reaches down beneath her knees.
A leathery, hazel dyed belt rests upon the highly adorned skirt, making sure that it is kept in place, while allowing the blonde to carry smaller objects, such as smaller tools, within the small bags attached to the item's rear. Ebony shaded, high-heeled leather boots embrace her feet, reaching slightly above her ankles. When it comes to accessories the blonde conforms to the cliché of a typical girl as she loves wearing necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other types of accessory. Three silvery bracelets therefore decorate each of her wrists.
Hair Color: Blond
Eye Color: Hazel
Height: 5'5" [165cm]
Weight: 110lbs [50kg]
Personality: Upon hearing the terms 'Pirate' and 'Devil Fruit user' combined in a single sentence, many people can't help but think of an inhuman, violent and generally vicious individual. These imaginations, however, hardly bear resemblance to Sumire, who is everything but a murdering monster. Encountering the young Kuja princess one is usually greeted by a comfortable, reassuring smile hinting at an extroverted attitude and confident nature. If judged solely on the behavior displayed by her one might generally be led to the conclusion that the honey haired woman is a carefree, easy-going, but also naïve individual as her perception of the world, despite having left the secluded realm of Amazon Lily three years ago, is still that of a Kuja that has never left the Island of Women; not only does she measure the beauty of individuals by their strength, but also firmly believes that men are vile monsters whose shapes differ greatly from that of a human being.
As a result she is by default convinced that every humanoid being is a woman and is actually quite excited to one day meet one of these creatures she heard so many rumours about back in her home country. However, her naiveté resulting from the mixture of a vivid mind and the secluded lifestyle of her people is not to be mistaken for stupidity, even though her lack of knowledge concerning cultural traditions and customs might at times cause her to appear like a child or even an idiot. Having grown up hearing all kinds of stories concerning monsters as well as other bizarre creatures and places from members of her tribe that returned from the world outside Amazon Lily, Sumire developed a tendency of blindly believing whatever those she considers her friends tell her, at least when it comes to the cultures and wonders of other places, just like any other gullible person would.
Suffering from what is known as fear of loss and dreading the sensation of helplessness since she lost her friends and crew members only a few days after they had set out to explore the world, Sumi has become a person that worries quite a lot about the well-being of those dear to her and doesn't shrink from prying into their lives in hopes of being capable of helping, while she, herself, tries her best to keep the fears and doubts nagging at her heart to herself. Dealing with problems she usually tries her best to stay true to her moral compass, which causes her to detest things such as unnecessary violence and cruelty. This, however, doesn't make the blonde a pacifist, but rather an individual attempting to avoid fighting as long as possible. Once driven into a corner, the skilled fighter doesn't shrink from giving it her all.

History: Located within the depths of the Calm Belt one will find the Island of Women, a larger landmass famous for its solely female population living within the secluded empire of Amazon Lily, which Sumire used to consider her home. Born as the youngest child of Kuja's empress, Sumire grew up within a sheltered environment, receiving all the love and attention a young child could wish for. Being the daughter of the Kuja's well-respected leader life, however, wasn't as pleasant as one might have expected it to be for a member of what could be called a royal-family. With her mother being hailed as the most powerful and therefore the most beautiful woman of the tribe, Sumi's life on Amazon Lily was a constant struggle for acknowledgement, one that the young woman couldn't possibly hope to win.
Being constantly compared to her mother and simply reduced to being the empress's child whenever she accomplished something, the flaxen haired girl realized that it was impossible for her to be recognized as an individual if she remained on the island she called her home as the shadow cast by her mother was far too large for her to step out of. It wasn't that she was lacking the potential to grow, but rather that she felt that the secluded environment of Amazon Lily was what prevented her from doing so. The stories told by the elders featuring obscure islands, ancient temples and mysterious creatures had always piqued her interest and so she decided to leave her home in order to finally step out of her mother's shadow and to make a name for herself. However, leaving the Island of Women at the age of sixteen, Sumire had no idea how vast the world truly was and that things weren't meant to go the way she had expected them to.
Not too long after having left the Calm Belt the vessel was crushed by a storm, separating the honey haired Kuja from the other tribe members supposed to accompany her on her journey. When Sumire awoke she was all alone, stranded on what she at first believed to be a deserted island. Unable to tell if her friends had made it out alive she was overcome by grief, born not only from the loss, but also her own helplessness. She spent her time mourning until the hunger finally caused her weary frame to move. It was then that she came across a bizarre looking fruit as she explored the island in search of food. Clueless about its nature and driven by hunger she eventually decided to eat the mysterious berry, a decision she regretted the very moment her taste buds came into contact with the fruit as it was the most disgusting thing she had ever eaten. A single fruit, of course, wasn't enough to reconcile her rioting stomach and so she kept making her way across the unknown landmass in order to hunt for further food.
Being a skilled Kuja huntress, it fortunately wasn't too much of a problem for her to find something edible, but food alone didn't solve her problems as she was alone and no idea where she was or what had happened to her comrades. Further explorations eventually lead her into a small town quite different from the ones she knew from her home country. Some of the women inhabiting the town looked rather odd, sprouting facial hair that she had never seen before, but the young princess didn't shrink from approaching them nevertheless. While the inhabitants were kind and offered their help, they, however, were unable to provide a ship that would allow the blonde to leave the island, telling her that the next ferry would arrive in a few months. Being offered hospitality until the arrival of the next vessel, Sumi wanted to return the kindness shown by these women and promised to help them wherever she could.
While she had possessed knowledge about what could be called the basics of cooking, it was here that the young princess learnt that the preparation of food consisted of more than just hunting for, slicing and grilling fish or meat and adding fruits. Being taught by a chef that had apparently cooked for nobles in the past, cooking became a passion of hers and the few months she originally had intended to stay there waiting for the ferry turned into almost three years as she was eager to keep learning about the art of cooking. Not having lost sight of her original goal she then finally set out into the world, eager to explore the same and to make a name for herself that would one day allow her to return to Amazon Lily filled with pride. After all she was sure that the world held even more delicious ingredients and recipes the Kuja living on Amazon Lily had never heard of before.

Likes:
- Birds - Not only are most of them cute and posses lovely sinigng voices, unlike people these small creatures are truly free. Ever since she can remember Sumire has envied birds for their ability to go wherever they want. To her they definitely represent values such as liberty and freedom.
- Cooking - A passion Sumire discovered by chance and which eventually turned into her favorite hobby. By now it means more to her than a simple way of relieving stress and she is excited to work with new ingredients and to try new recipes.
- The Moon - The young princess can't deny the fact that she enjoys the sight of this pale celestial body residing within and illuminating the sparkling empyrean above. She considers its light soothing and way more pleasant than the partially remorseless rays of the sun. To her it's a symbol of hope as it is capable of banishing the darkness of the night. To her starry nights with a bright full moon are the epitome of romantic.
Dislikes:
- Being a Devil Fruit user - The young Kuja used to love both, swimming and bathing; things that she can't enjoy anymore as she unintentionally ate a Devil Fruit and thereby joined the group of individuals rejected by the sea. Even though she has to admit that the abilities bestowed upon her by the accursed fruit are quite handy, she isn't too happy about her fate.
- Show-offs - People bragging about their strength and power can at times be entertaining, but usually they are simply annoying. Sumire knows all too well that those with power usually let facts speak for themselves and she simply gets iritated by people desperate enough to resort to bragging and annoying others simply in order to reconcile their thirst for attention.
- Sour Flavours - Nowadays calling herself a chef she should most likely be open to any kind of food and flavour, but Sumi actually has a clear animosity towards sour flavours as they remind her of the time when she ate a Devil Fruit, which she describes as the most disgusting thing she has ever tasted.
- Unnecessary Violence - Hailing from a tribe that equates beauty with strength, Sumire considers the act of unnecessary violence a disgrace as she believes that resorting to violence without a reason is simply a sign of weakness.
