WHAT HAKI IS
Haki is a mysterious power that is found in every living being of the world. It is the essence, aura, spirit energy, and willpower of a living being. There are two types of Haki accessible to all living beings, however, there is a third type of Haki accessible to only a few. More about that below~...
The two types of Haki able to awakened by all living beings are Busoshoku/Armament Haki and Kenbunshoku/Observation Haki. The third type of Haki that only one in seven million beings are said to possess is known as Haoshoku/Conqueror's Haki.
When creating a character, if you intend for your character to wield Haoshoku/Conqueror's Haki, be sure to list traits typically found in a King/Queen type person for your character history and personality. Staff will grade whether or not your character is born with Haoshoku/Conqueror's Haki based on what you wrote down for your character. However, remember to take note that your character will still need to spend a Super Talent to awaken their Haoshoku/Conqueror's Haki to use it.
Haki runs on Haki Stamina, which recovers overtime just like Stamina and works similarly to Stamina but only applies to Haki and Haki techniques. Every living being's Haki Stamina starts at 0 (Unawakened). To awaken one's Haki, one must spend a Super Talent on one of three available Haki. Once a Super Talent has been spent on a particular Haki and it has been awakened, a character's Haki Stamina raises to 50. For every particular Haki awakened, a character's Haki Stamina raises to 50 each time.
Additionally, to further increase a character's potential with Haki, one can spend another Super Talent on a said Haki, allowing the user to achieve Advanced Haki. When this is done, a character's Haki Stamina is doubled.
Notes: Once a character's Haki Stamina has doubled, it cannot be doubled again. However, if a regular non advanced Haki is awakened while the character has an advanced form of some sort of Haki, then that newly awakened Haki adds 100 points to the character's Haki Stamina instead of 50 points.
Haki Stamina can be trained and raised higher when writing a Haki Adventure. Yet, the means in which how much more Haki Stamina is gained is through the word count of said Haki Adventure. For every thousand words are written in a Haki Adventure, the character's Haki Stamina is raised by 10 points. The maximum amount of Haki Stamina points that can be earned through Haki Adventures is 200 Points. Haki Adventures is a unique type of Adventures that do not require to be registered and are not actually a real Adventure but something more akin to Training. All you need to do to start a Haki Adventure is find an island to do it on and begin the thread and tag it [HAKI ADVENTURE] and you are done and can begin training. Have fun and don't go too wild.
Every post your character is not in combat, your character's Haki Stamina recovers by 25 points. Every post your character is in combat, your character's Haki Stamina recovers by nothing. However, if a character has a special Super Talent that allows the character to recover Haki Stamina as if they were out of combat, then they are exempt from this rule.
Busoshoku/Armament Haki: A form of Haki that allows the user to use their spirit to create a thin black armor coating around themselves. Notably, this form of Haki can be used to injure Logia Devil Fruit users. This Haki can be used to both increase one's Power and defend the user from a set amount of damage. It is known as the most common form of Haki among the populace able to use Haki.
This form of Haki increases the Power of a character by one Rank and adds a black armor coating onto a character that can take a set amount of damage points before breaking. It takes 10 points of Haki Stamina per Rank to activate this form of Haki for a single post. For every Rank that a Busoshoku/Armament Haki Move is, the more limbs that can be used. At Master Rank, the whole user's body is capable of being suited in this Haki.
Also, this form of Haki can be spread to weapons, swords, bullets, and etc but it costs 10 Haki Stamina points per item.
Alternatively, a user of this Haki can decide to allocate an additional Super Talent on their already established form of Haki to evolve their Haki to the next level, increasing their Haki's capabilities. When Busoshoku/Armament is taken to the next level, a character's Power can be increased by two Ranks. This evolved form of Busoshoku/Armament Haki can take up to double the amount of set damage that its weaker version can handle.
Kenbunsoku/Observation Haki: A form of Haki that allows the user to sense the presence of others, even if they are concealed from view or too far to see naturally. The most common use of this Haki lets the user sense the presence of others by their aura. Besides that, it can also be used to predict an opponent's moves shortly after they make them, sense and empathize with the emotions of others, and as well as sense the strength of others. This form of Haki is the second most common among the populace able to use Haki.
It takes 10 points of Haki Stamina per Rank to activate this form of Haki for a single post. For every Rank that a Kenbunshoku/Observation Haki Move is, the longer the range extends by 25 meters. At Master Rank, the range can extend to as far as 125 meters long. Per every 10 points of Haki Stamina, a higher Ranked Move can be predicted shortly after the Move is made and dodged accordingly. To dodge an incoming Move, a character's Speed must be a Rank higher than the incoming attack.
Alternatively, a user of this Haki can decide to allocate an additional Super Talent on their already established form of Haki to evolve their Haki to the next level, increasing their Haki's capabilities. When Kenbunshoku/Observation is taken to the next level, a character can begin to see a few seconds into the future. This evolved form of Kenbunshoku/Observation Haki can predict a Move a Rank higher than the character's own Rank and dodge the Move accordingly if the user is fast enough in order to do so. To dodge an incoming Move when using Future Sight, a character's Speed must be at the bare minimum a Rank equal to the incoming attack or higher. The cost to use Future Sight is the cost of the Rank of the Move being dodged.
Haoshoku/Conqueror Haki: A rare form of Haki that allows the user to exert their willpower over others. It is said that whoever possesses this type of Haki has the qualities of a king. This Haki can be used to dominate the wills of others and knock them out. Inexperienced users of this Haki are restricted merely to overpowering the will of one individual, reducing a target's Move a single Rank or blindly knocking out the weak willed people around them that are two Ranks lower than the user. An inexperienced user cannot control when their Haoshoku/Conqueror Haki is able to be used, however, they can attempt to use it, rolling a dice in the dice thread to see whether or not their Haki can spontaneously activate in a thread (landing on an odd dice number). This can only be done once a thread. The range and knock out radius is dependent on the character's Rank. Those in full control of their Haoshoku/Conqueror Haki cannot spontaneously activate it.
A character who has obtained full control of their Haoshoku/Conqueror Haki is capable of using it whenever they choose. It takes 25 points of Haki Stamina per Rank to activate this form of Haki for a single post. For every Rank that a Haoshoku/Conqueror Haki Move is, the longer the range of the knock out radius and quantity of people made unconscious. The range and knock out quantity increases by 25 meters and 25 per Rank. Characters that are knocked out by this ability are those who are 2 Ranks lower than the user. Additionally, a character can weaken an attack or potency of another person's Move a single Rank by exerting their willpower onto the opposition, this costs 25 points of Haki Stamina. When this occurs, a burst of unfathomable and wavering willpower is sent outwards, displaying the user's great spirit.
Alternatively, a user of this Haki can decide to allocate an additional Super Talent on their already established form of Haki to evolve their Haki to the next level, increasing their Haki's capabilities. When Haoshoku/Conqueror is taken to the next level, a character can damage the environment and knock anyone 2 Ranks lower unconscious with their great spirit and willpower for a single post. Though, if the user of the great spirit is still within the radius, the character will remain unconscious. This evolved form of Haoshoku/Conqueror Haki can reach as far as 25 meters and is always active unless the user purposely suppresses their spirit. This evolved form of Haki can deliver Rookie damage to all of their surroundings per post they are around their surroundings. Though, keep in mind to activate this Haki for the rest of a thread, a character must pay a toll of 25 Haki Stamina.
