Okay, he made it in just fine. And he was given the okay by the guards, at least, they were fine with him entering the city in such a hasty manner. He could clear it all up later. Yeah, it was all going to be okay, he told himself as he finished running along the wall and hit the street. Unfortunately, eight is indeed stronger than two. The guards at the gate learned this lesson first hand as they were easily pushed aside from Potbelly's assault and charge with his men. "Oh come on. You seriously can't just let it go?!" He shouted back at the smugglers while sprinting as fast as he could, swinging his arms in a mad dash to get away from them. If only he were a little faster. But just how the hell did someone who's stomach bounced with the buoyancy of jello on steroids run so fast?! This was just breaking all the rules of fairness! And to make matters worse, he nearly barreled in to marine fire. Well, his dad wanted him home alive. They probably weren't ever told just how alive he was to be brought home. A wound or two wouldn't hurt anyone. They weren't aiming for him though, but someone saw fit to provide him some back up. A bird. A talking bird. Yeah that's normal. At least for this kind of world. A talking bird. This was just--This was all different kinds of hooey in terms of ridiculousness today. Next thing he knows he's liable to run in to someone that can turn in to a mountain, or a guy with explosive mucus! Willow just continued to run with the thought of getting past these marines who were now flailing about from Feathry McTalkenstein messing with their vision. Sure, he had a feathered friend helping him out now, but, turns out the eight guys chasing after them were still on their way! He braced himself against the ground, lifting up both of his arms while tucking his head in toward his body, fists clenched while his left foot pressed against the ground, right foot going loose before he shoved off of the ground with the left foot. Null Schritt. A quick move using his weight to move five feet at a time just to get somewhere quicker with a push. The moment his right foot hit the ground, he pushed his weight down and like a cyclical piston, shoved off of the ground yet again. He did this two more times, quickly putting distance between himself and the chasing smugglers who were cursing his name. With the fifth push of his foot, Willow was going off to the right, and straight down the alley way to cover a distance of twenty-five meters total. He was still in eye shot of the smugglers, but he had plenty of distance to dart down this alley way and start seeking out another path. Once he was in there, the bird was right, there were other lanes of alleys that connected to this one that he could shoot down. And by the time that Potbelly the ever Gelatinous and his posse arrived, Willow had gone down one of the paths. There were four other from this point, so they had to split up in to groups of two and look for Willow on their own. They had less strength in smaller groups, but they also could search for him faster. Man, why did today have to take such a predictable turn, he thought to himself while he looked around for that bird friend of his who was probably not a bird but some fruit eating weirdo? [attr="class","life"] ❝ this is my time to do what I want and i'm probably going to hell [attr="class","les"] W hat a fast runner! Even lord potbelly, with all of his might, wasn't able to catch up to him. This was impressive!
The marines prepared to fire at group of running men, unsure wether to shoot the blonde boy or not. On the one hand, he was an invader and most likely a pirate. So it was more than enough for them to shoot at him. On the other hand, though, this boy looked like someone. Someone that was a noble. A noble that was wanted, but wanted only alive. Someone important, definitely. He was running too fast and the light that shined on him wasn't enough to shake their foggy memory, though. So they just decided that this boy is probably not the noble, but someone else that happens to look like him, but there was still a slight chance that this person wasn't one of the suspects, so they haven't shot him. They shot at the group behind him, instead. The shots whistled in the air with intensity! 4 of the running men dropped to the floor. Five shots connected with four people; targeting their upper-bodies, specifically the chest and stomach areas. Non of them fell dead, however two of them lost consciousness. The remaining men took a detour and hid behind a cover. " Shit!" potbelly screamed. He faced a decision. Whether to go after Willow and claim the money he thought was rightfully his and in return risk the lives of himself and his crew against an extremely large number of marines and various guards, some bound to be as strong if not stronger than him, or to let go - and focus on escaping in one piece, though, giving up on the fortune he believed was his. In the meantime, the Marines rushed towards the group of fallen soldiers. They were crying in pain and trying to resist the Mariens who were attempting to arrest them. The injured men, although empowered by sheer adrenaline, didn't stand a chance against the stronger and better-trained marines. They arrested them easily and cuffed them. The one responsible for the Marine squad then pulled out the Den-Den Mushi and spoke out aloud. " NEED BACKUP ON FIFTH AVENUE, CENTRAL OF THE KINGDOM!" he yelled into the machine. He stopped and pointed towards the hiding place in which the remaining men were hiding. " Men!" he barked at his subordinates. " There are still a number of men hiding somewhere in this alley. Everyone, head towards this group and arrest them!" he said. " Aye sir!" the group replied in a mutual voice. The men began running after those who were hiding in an alley, while another group of marines was tasked to assist the one who was taking care of the invaders. It was a bizzare day. Only rarely they were handling with invaders who actually managed to break into the Kingdom. Mostly the guards' presence was enough to scare any potential invaders away. But this time? 8 men flowing right into the Kingdom like carps swimming in a raging river. The guards weren't enough not only to intimidate them but to actually stop them! This should've brought up some serious questions in the Kingdom's security system's manager's mind. If eight people could cruise into this city so easily, what about a large crew of pirates? But that is something the King and his councilmen should consider; not simple soldiers like common marines! Lord potbelly decided to make a run for it and try and escape the city. He started jogging as soon as he heard the footsteps of the Marines who were nearing. This man, despite his weight, was extraordinarily nimble! Man, it would take a professional athelete to keep up with him. Ha! This man actually had a chance to escape the city. The main problem was, that except for the port exit, he didn't know any other routes that would allow him to escape the city. And every person who had a functioning brain could tell that the Kingdom isn't going to allow him to escape the city so easily. They must have posted more men at the port exit in addition to perhaps completely blocking it until he and his crew are captured. He fucked up, he fucked up badly. He entered a Kingdom, chasing after an important kid. No matter how you choose to look at it, this idea is stupid. He knew that he had no chance to escape, so instead raised his hands up and decided to give up. " Men, stop! There's no point in escaping. We'll get out of here soon, don't worry. Escaping will only make matters worse, though" he said. His men were confused. They were breathing heavily, preparing to escape. Why would they stop now? Hell, who in the seven hells would simply give up to the marines? They could spend so much money and time in prison. Escaping was literally called for, here. " Boss... Why would we do that?" he asked, exactly as he was jumped by a marine. The rest followed the same fate; everyone was tackled into the floor, including the fat man himself. He was smiling at the man who asked him the question and winked at him. " Don't worry, son. We're getting out of here soon" he said, exactly as he was handcuffed and carried towards the Marines headquarters.
It seemed that the blonde boy managed to escape, somehow. Well, it wasn't a magical escape - he had a friendly tip from a birdy companion. Someone he had never seen before, probably. It seemed that for now, the Marines weren't going to chase after him directly; mostly because they didn't know where he was. The shots that were fired at the crew of smugglers and the whole commotion they started was a good enough cover for him to escape to a nearby alley. It wouldn't be long, though, before a poster of some sort, indicating that Willow is wanted alive, would be hanging throughout the city and guards would start looking for him. Perhaps, he could talk his way out of it. Or rather, should he find a new companion who would be kind enough to help him? This decision was up for Willow to be taken, that's for sure.
In the meantime (while Willow was hiding in an alley), a citizen escaping the bar in which Gil, Rei, and the many men were fighting in, rushed towards the closest marine, breathing heavily as he carried his overweight body towards safety. The man, who was of average height and sported an odd, pointy hairstyle, leaned his hands on his knees as he lowered his head and gasped for air, while he was standing there, in front of the group of marines who were scouting the streets nearby. " Soldiers, quick! An intruder is assaulting Don Will's men in the ANGELIC CLAM! Hurry!" he said, panting heavily. The Marines were quick to listen to the noble and rushed towards the pub, swords unsheathed and pistol ready to be drawn. Willow was waiting in a very interesting alley. An alley that might change his life forever. | [attr="class","goodness"] ✉ @someone ✎ 1,183 words |

As Arianna gave the boy at least a proper warning and blindsided the marine's she circled back to watch the events unfold from on top of a nearby building rooftop, the boy as strange as it was to her lift both his arms up and tucked in his head in before his right foot lightly touching the ground while his left foot was firmly planted on the ground before he pushed off of it, after gaining a small amount of distance the boy did it several more time's darting down the street, it was a ingenious move perhaps not as fast as Arianna's flight but nonetheless most impressive if the boy hadn't eaten a different type of fruit that gained him weird abilities like her. Now that he was out of the way Arianna would watch the rest to see if she yet again needed to give him another warning, she didn't owe the kid anything but she was the type that if she was going to stick her neck out for somebody else she was going to at least follow through until the end.
Turning back to the scene in front of her, she could hear the wails of some of the pirate's that were chasing the boy resound through the streets, even as they tried to resist the pain of their new gunshot wounds it would prove to be trivial resistance as they were easily overpowered and cuffed, however some of them managed to slip by and start running from the marines now set on capturing them what a pain in the ass today was starting to turn out for them Arianna would imagine as she tried to read their thought's. Upon their arrest, one soldier pulled out a snail-like object and put it close to his mouth and begun to yell, "NEED BACKUP ON FIFTH AVENUE, CENTRAL OF THE KINGDOM!" Arianna may not have known much about the outside world as she was so secluded from it for so long, but she was smart enough to know that he was the officer calling the shots currently, she would make sure to avoid him at all costs for now. Stopping his movements the marine soldier in charged pointed towards the alleyway where the few remaining pirates were in a game of cat and mouse with the marines and started barking orders "Men! There are still a number of men hiding somewhere in this alley. Everyone, head towards this group and arrest them!" Great Arianna though, more shit for them to deal with, she was starting to remember why she stayed in the jungle in the first place, too many nuisances and rules to deal with in society.
She would start flying once more to watch as the few remaining pirates attempted to escape, despite the mans large sized belly he was moving quite a deal quicker than she thought he could manage, but as he was escaping Arianna was watching his facial expressions and it seemed to be contemplating his current situation and before long the man stopped. "Men, stop! There's no point in escaping. We'll get out of here soon, don't worry. Escaping will only make matters worse, though" he would yell out to the few remnants of his man, despite the order his man still seemed to be confused which was quite normal considering that the navy wasn't exactly negotiators when it came to criminals which were a concept even Arianna know. As she watched the rest of the pirate's that had been chasing the boy be handcuffed Arianna no longer needed to remain watching, she quickly flapped her wings soaring towards the alleyways using her bird eye view to look for the lad, it didn't take long for her to find him in one of them and she soared down landing right on his shoulder before speaking, "I don't know who you are, but you seem to be quite important if you have pirate's risking marine forces on them just to get you. Your safe for now though as they've been captured, but I suspect it won't be long until the pirates give up the information on why they're here in the first place and the Marines are sure to chase after you as well."

He managed to do it. He managed to make it away from Potbelly the Ever Running and get himself to relative safety. Potbelly and his crew were being detained and Willow could take a moment to bend at the waist, grasping on to his knees as he turned his gaze to the ground and took the time to catch his breath. In that time, he was the perch for that talking bird who landed on his shoulder and spoke to him again. This time with the intent on getting to know him, or at least to warn him?
"Ha! That's rich. Honestly, the marines will have no reason to come after me. I'm not a criminal, I just needed someone to get me off of Spider Miles to wherever the next island on my adventure was. Thing is, they tried to extort four times the original payment I gave them to get me out here. Seems whatever ship I book passage on becomes the target of marines and bounty hunters. I'm not entirely sure why, but the whole ordeal has made me take to booking passage on pirate ships or smuggler ships. They're the only ones that can defend themselves, so I can keep myself safe. But then they blame me for all their misfortune. It's not really anything worth arresting me over." He shrugged a little and then turned his gaze up to the bird on his shoulder.
"So, I'm Willow, now you know who I am. And I feel like I might actually be crazy. I know I get a little hyper at times but a talking bird is a new level for me. You're probably just a bird and I'm projecting my thought process on to you so I can talk to myself and justify it." He considered this while he clutched his right elbow in his left hand. His right hand brought up to his mouth. The curve between his index finger and thumb over his upper lip. His pinkie finger curled around under his chin as he struck that thinking pose he liked to.
He had no idea the bird on his shoulder was actually a person, so talking to the bird seemed like a good idea at the time. From out of the alley way system, Willow stepped out on to the open street. The moment he saw a poster with his face on it he slapped himself in the forehead. Hopefully the bird was with him as he ducked back in to another alley way. Quickly getting in to the shadows. "You wouldn't happen to know where I can hide out would you? Or find someone to pal around with so I'm not gonna be singled out?"

Well, Rei frowned, as she observed the two men. This was exactly the kind of situation she was hoping to avoid. One of them had a gun pointed right at her head, and the other one held out a saber in a threatening manner. She would have to improvise, it seems. She aimed a kick at the man with the gun. Her intention was to knock the gun out of his hand with her kick. That should disarm him long enough for her to deal with the other one. She picked up the fallen gun and laid it down on the nearby table, before shifting her attention to the saber-wielding man, who wasted no time in trying to attack her from behind.
She met his blade with her own. The two blades clashed, with a tell-tale clang. The man continued to attack her relentlessly, with a barrage of sword slashes, forcing her to go on defensive by either dodging the blows or blocking them with her sword. She had been looking for an opening all the while. Then, when she found an opening she had been waiting for, Rei took on the offensive. She attacked the saber-wielding man with a slash of her own, with the intention of striking him in the chest.
That only left the third man. Rei noticed that he was moving towards the counter, where his gun lay. If she were to have the chance against him, she needed to stop him from reclaiming his weapon.

[attr="class","life"] ❝ this is my time to do what I want and i'm probably going to hell [attr="class","les"] A gun was knocked off the man's hand sharply! However, the man wasn't foolish enough to simply stay put as the weapon was blown off of his hand. He was an experienced fighter. He didn't freeze whenever something went poorly for him in a battle. He was an instinctive fighter; hence, when the teenager managed to kick his gun away, he simply proceeded to attempt to grab her by the shoulder and turn her body towards his partner; who would attempt to slash her repeatedly until she stops fighting back. Meanwhile, while the third man was approaching the counter to retrieve his pistol, Gil was walking towards him, gripping the gun he had taken earlier. He preapred for a possibility that the man would fire at Rei. He loaded it and aimed it at him. Suddenly, the door was knocked open by a group of Marines. " Everybody, freeze!" a Marine officer yelled and stood there with a pistol in his hand. The men holding and attacking Rei froze as the Marines arrived. The situation played out quite problematic for them; it would take some time for the Marines to recognize them, and in the meantime, it appeared to them that they held a teenager against her will. " It's us! We're working for Elliot Oswell Johnes" the three men yelled immediately. The Marines took a moment to check their clothing and nodded at each other, confirming between themselves that these men are indeed Elliot's men. During that short time window, Gil moved his hand that was holding the pistol behind his back. " It's them! These two are causing a commotion and are assaulting citizens!" the one who gripped Rei yelled. The Marines raised an eyebrow and prepared to raise their weapons at these two. Gil, in response, smiled widely. He eyed the Marines intensively while smiling. " Are you sure you wanna do that?" he had told them as they were advancing towards him. One of them, who was seemingly in command of the group, raised an eyebrow at the green-haired man as he tightened the grip on his pistol. Gil, in response, ducked right under the table he was standing next to, as he moved the pistol to his front. Multiple shots were fired at him from the Marines and Bounty Hunters! Phew, he didn't imagine the Marines would fire this many shots at the Kingdom's property! He grinned as he covered his face with his remaining hand. He flipped the table over and ran towards the Marines as he was holding it as a shield, hoping to ram it against them. They, in response, fired even more shots at the center of the table, causing them to run out of bullet and stepped aside as Gil rapidly ran towards them. 2 of them quickly reloaded their pistols as three of them circled Gil from all sides. He fired his pistol at the two who were reloading their pistols, hitting upper bodies and allowed himself to receive a stray pistol to the face. It wasn't enough to do actual damage against him, though, and while he received 2 of them to the face, he managed to sprint towards one of them and knocked him to the floor while the two kept trying to ram their pistols against his head. He quickly spun and elbowed the incoming pistols, sending them a meter away. He then jumped straight at the two men and dropped them to the floor, gripping their throats with his hands, pinning them down. As they were pinned to the floor, he ram their heads against the floor a few times until they have lost consciousness. After he was done with them, he walked towards the two shot Marines who cried in pain and kicked them in the face, knocking them out easily as his low kick was aimed towards their jaws. He then eyed the bounty hunters who were occupied with Rei, a serious look plastered on his face. " Go ahead, you have a fight to finish" he said, staring at them. That was Rei's chance!
Next, to the alley in which Willow and Adrianna were lurking, two men passed. They were dressed in black uniforms, both of them of average physical builds and smoked two cigars. Their empty hands were fastened to their belts, next to their personal weapons. " I heard a couple of pirates gave Jack, Doug and Eric trouble at the ANGELIC CLAM" they said and slowly advanced towards the direction of the pub in which Gil and Rei were. | [attr="class","goodness"] ✉ @someone ✎ 753 words |

He couldn't tell if the talking bird was still following him or not. He couldn't tell if the bird was there or not. Maybe he was just going bonkers finally. He smacked himself in the forehead with the heel of his palm a couple of times and winced after the sudden jolt. "Focus Omens, focus, pay attention to everything. It's your job." He muttered to himself while he poked his head out of the alley way, looking to the left, and then to the right with a dumbfounded look on his face, blinking a couple of times before he started to walk out after the men had walked away.
"Angelic Clam? Hey, bird, this is crazy I'm talking to a bird, anyways, hey, bird. Do you know which way the Angelic Clam is?"" If he didn't get information from the bird that may or may not be there, he honestly felt silly questioning the existence of a talking bird, he would seek out other people on the street. There wasn't much to do but gather information or follow those guys, keeping pace wit them to get to the Angelic Clam and witness everything that was going on there.
