The one called Marion Crane is a man who can both blend into a crowd, appearing unassuming, and yet at the same time project an intimidating aura at a moment's notice. Standing at 5'7", he has a rather lean build, yet muscled after enduring years of hardship and personal training. Not that one would notice underneath his coat. Hidden beneath that cloak, his body is scarred, due to years of abuse. But the most noticeable thing is the remains of the tattoo known as the 'Dragon's Hoof' on his back, the mark of a slave. This tattoo is heavily scarred and mutilated, as if someone tried to, rather painfully, remove it.
The scars aren't limited to his body either. Beneath his silver hair, the fringe covering the right side of his face, his skin is scarred by a burn, spoiling an otherwise handsome face. His eyes are a cold blue, and while they can be worm at times, there's a sense of icy intensity to them that lets him pull off one hell of a death glare when he needs to.
In terms of clothing, Marion sports all black. A pair of black leather pants, with knee high black boots and gloves. He wears a black, leather overcoat that's zipped up the middle, rather than buttoned. The coat also includes a hood, which he normally has pulled over his face whenever he's in public or speaking with others. Gotta keep that identity hidden after all.

Personality: Marion is a man hardened by his painful past, and a man with a clear goal in mind. Complete control over the entire world. He believes this to be the only true path to freedom. Anything less puts you under the control of another, making any 'freedom' you have an illusion. He finds the whole notions of justice, good, evil, and all that sort of thing laughable. Everyone knows those are dictated by those that control, and Marion is determined to be the one who controls everything.
Of course, Marion is a smart man. He knows full well that making yourself notorious in the world will only draw unnecessary attention to yourself, and that's always a problem. And so, Marion has decided to take another approach. Control others from the shadows. Using cunning and charisma, one can easily make others do as you wish, even have them think it is their own idea. The very basis of control. Pirates, marines, revolutionaries, they are all just pawns , to be controlled and manipulated. Marion is one for playing the long game, plotting out well in advance for any contingency. He's fully aware that 'free will', can cause any potential plan to go awry, and such tries to plan out alternatives in case things take an unexpected turn.
There are two sides to Marion in a social situation. A more pleasant, friendly side, in which he's hiding his true self, passing himself off as someone unassuming and of no importance. He has a number of aliases for when he goes out like this, mainly to get food, or when he's forced to socially interact with others. His other side is that of "Black Puppet", his business side. His his hood pulled up to hide his face, he acts like a sort of information broker, feeding info to people, while at the same time manipulating them. This is as much notoriety as he will allow, often moving from place to place to avoid detection. He's crafted this mysterious persona for himself, all the while hiding his true intentions from the rest of the world.
Friendship is something Marion tends to keep well away from. While there are some people he will find more dependable than others, he does recognize that situations can change at any time, and that in the end, he's on top, and they are the puppet. After all, only one can control the world.

Power: Not in the traditional sense. Anyone can sit on a throne, but real power comes with being able to have anyone do anything you desire. The true sense of power and freedom. Control.
Coffee: Preferably with plenty of cream and sugar. There's just nothing like having a hot, creamy cup of coffee while working out your evil master plans.
Literature: Marion is a man of culture after all. While he prefers classical literature, he will read anything he can get his hands on. He tends to keep his his ear to the ground for any news happening in the world.
A Masterful Scheme: Not to toot his own horn, but Marion is a master of plans. As such, he absolutely loves watching a well thought out plan go by just flawlessly.

Loss of Control: Considering he considers control more important than anything else, naturally the idea of losing it is easily enough to get under his skin. It's why he goes to great lengths to prevent this.
Marines:Justice. What a joke. All the marines are are puppets to the Celestial Dragons. They will do anything they say, right or wrong. A clear example of the power control has.
Celestial Dragons: And how. Marion has noted many times that once he controls the world, he will make sure every last one of these decedent scumbags is killed, preferably painfully.
Slavery: It doesn't matter how useful you are to him. If you practice slavery, he WILL make sure you die in a gruesome fashion, even if it's by his own hands,
Moral Alignment: Lawful Evil
History: Marion Crane, as he would now call himself, was the son of a slave. Not just any slave however, but born from a slave of one of the Celestial Dragons. And as you can imagine, it was one of the most horrific experiences one can have.
The only person he had was his mother. He never knew his father (though he suspected who it was), and like his beloved mother, was forced to endure horrific tortures at the hands of the Celestial Dragons. Being a child did not spare you from their cruelty, especially from the Celestial Dragon's son, who was just as vile as his father. His mother tried her best to shield him from their master's cruelty, but when Marion was only seven years old, his mother eventually succumbed to the torture, and was eventually killed. With his mother gone, Marion bore the brunt of the Celestial Dragon's cruelty, his ace burned by the young son in a random act of spite.
But then, at the age of twelve, a stroke of fortune hit the hog man. There was a small slave riot in the holy city. Though the riot was quickly, and brutally, suppressed, it did give young Marion time to escape from the city, stowing away on a marine ship as it left the Red Warf. The young boy wasn't sure how long he was hiding on that ship, but as soon as it docked at another island, Marion slipped off and disappeared into the city.
Like was hard for him, but nowhere near as bad as being a slave. Having no home, he was forced to scavenge for food and shelter at first. But as time went on, he found being a street rat allowed him to learn many, interesting things about the island. Allowed him to overhear information that others would be interested in. IN order to make money, the boy started selling this information to others. Pirates, marines, anyone who could spare the coin. But as time went on, an idea formed in the boy's mind. Information was a powerful thing. It was easy how one could manipulate it in order to change a situation.
He decided to test this out on a group of pirates. He fed them false information about a treasure, only to lead then straight into a docking marine ship. Having warned the marines of the pirates ahead of time, the marines quickly overwhelmed the pirates and captured them. A few more tests on some of the population on the island showed Marion the true power of information and control. It was surprisingly easy how one can easily be manipulated by others. Then again, the whole world was under someone's control. He noticed even the 'free' people of the island deferred to the marines, and paid tribute to the world nobles when they came. And when it came to criminals, they were always looking over their shoulder, always worried about their 'freedom'.
The only way to be truly free, was to be the one in control.
Marion disappeared from the public eye, and a short time later, a mysterious figure became known in the underworld. The information broker, Black Puppet. This mysterious figure would sell information, broker deals with numerous groups and factions. And all the while, hiding his true ambitions, hiding his true goals. Though he was limited to just his 'home' island, he managed to extend his reach to a considerable degree, even getting information on the mayor of the island. While Marion Crane was just a simple, friendly man living on the island, Black Puppet became a powerful, hidden figure on the island.
For through information came control. And through control, came true freedom.
