DEVIL FRUIT
Name: Soru Soru no Mi
Type: Paramecia
Subtype: Manipulation
DESCRIPTION
Base Power: The Soru Soru no Mi allows the user to manipulate souls, permitting the user to take and distribute "lifespan" from living beings and onto inanimate objects or animals. Objects and animals animated by the Soru Soru no Mi become more human-like and become sentient, and are loyal to the user. The Soru Soru no Mi also allows the user to extract the lifespan of their enemies, potentially being fatal if sufficient lifespan is stolen.
Rookie Devil Fruit: +25 meters in range
Junior Devil Fruit: +25 meters in range
Journeyman Devil Fruit: +25 meters in range
Expert Devil Fruit: +25 meters in range
Master Devil Fruit: +25 meters in range
Weaknesses: The Soru Soru no Mi is a complex Devil Fruit with various quirks and conditions. In order for the user to extract the lifespan of an individual, the individual must be at least somewhat afraid of the Soru Soru no Mi user. If they exhibit absolutely no fear, then it is not possible to take the lifespan of that individual. Homies, objects and animals animated by the Soru Soru no Mi, are vulnerable to physical damage, being particularly vulnerable to attacks in the face. The Homies can also wither away when they experience extreme fear. As a general rule, Homies not created directly by the user are more vulnerable and weaker, and more prone to withering away due to fear, or being taken down by the Yomi Yomi no Mi's unique advantage over the Soru Soru no Mi. Homies created by other specialized Homies, called "Incantations", are much weaker and are generally not suited for combat.
Homies are also unable to attack objects infused with the user's soul, most notably including Vivre Cards, although the user can directly override this directive if the Homie is within earshot range. Homies are also not totally subservient to the user, they can disobey the user and even attack other Homies. Homies are more likely to be disloyal if the user is not in the right state of mind, so if they are having a mental breakdown or such, Homies are more likely to defect, even those directly created by the user.
